2025 - 2026 Application Guidelines

Applications for the 2025 - 2026 Frank Huntington Beebe Fund are due by January 17, 2025 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

Fellowships are awarded to musicians based in the United States (although not necessarily U.S. citizens) for whom this would be the first extended period of study abroad. Musicians who have previously studied abroad for an extended period do not qualify for a fellowship.
Applicants must not have reached the age of 30 by July 1, 2025.
Beebe Grants may NOT be combined with other, comparable grants, such as a Fulbright.
Applicants must demonstrate a solid base of accomplishment in order to be considered.
A strong, well-planned project of study that will enhance the applicant's life in music must be proposed.
Enrollment in a school or university is not required unless such study is an essential part of the project.

Completed online application form must be submitted and all supporting materials must be received by January 17, 2025 at 11:59pm Eastern.
Original transcripts from each college and/or school you list on the application MUST be scanned and submitted electronically by the submission date listed above. They can either be attached to your application or emailed to us at admin@beebefund.org. Transcripts should be sent in PDF format. Please make sure there is a seal on your transcript and diploma date from each of your previous schools, if applicable.
At least two letters of recommendation must be submitted in support of your application. You may submit more if you wish. They must be sent directly by recommenders to us. Each recommender will receive a link to a form to fill out and include their letter of recommendation. Please do not send us letters directly as the applicant.

Semi-finalists will be notified of their status by February 15th, 2025.
Candidates who advance will need to submit a video audition for review no later than March 8th, 2025. Candidates must be the principal performer in these recordings, which should total 20 - 30 minutes in length and contain selections of the candidates choice. Please do not send recordings unless you are notified of the results of the first round.
Finalists will be notified of their status by March 24th, 2025.
Final round candidates will be invited to audition for the trustees in person in Boston, Massachusetts on May 4th, 2025.
Notification of grant awards will be sent by May 10th, 2025.
